Meilad Rafiei is a seasoned executive, entrepreneur, and leader with a proven track record of success across multiple industries. Over his career, he has brokered more than $300 million in transactions and built, scaled, and sold businesses from the ground up.
He began his career in commercial real estate after earning his Business Finance degree from Cal State Fullerton, closing over $10 million in transactions within his first two years despite a challenging market. In 2009, he co-founded Quest Preservation, and as their COO he was pivotal in growing it into a national construction firm operating in 17 states with more than 100 employees and 2,000 subcontractors, while also building out a brokerage arm that generated millions in residential sales.
Transitioning into cannabis, Meilad co-founded and became the President of one of Orange County’s first licensed dispensaries, Hand N Hand Patient Care. Leading the charge in every aspect of the business from real estate procurement, licensing, and business operations, Meilad eventually brokered a favorable exit. He then co-founded WeCann in 2017, and in 2022 led its merger with Cannabis Real Estate Consultants (CREC), creating one of the nation’s most respected cannabis brokerage and advisory firms. Under his leadership, the company has submitted 200+ cannabis license applications and expanded nationwide.
Outside of work, Meilad enjoys family time and actively participates in youth sports as both a coach and teammate to his children.
