Chris Palumbo – Director of Property Management

Born and raised in Santa Barbara, CA, Chris is uniquely familiar with the Real Estate market on the Central Coast. Having been raised in a family with a strong presence in the industry, Chris would spend time with his parents and grandparents tagging along for open houses, learning about everything from tenant issues to the many maintenance items that came up regularly in every facet from single family residences to multi-unit and commercial properties. After finishing high school, he moved to Los Angeles to attend UCLA as a theatre major where he met Jason Piazza and they became lifelong friends.

After living in Los Angeles, Las Vegas and Orange County for the following 15 years, he moved back to Santa Barbara to be near his family and start a family with his wife, Cookie. After spending 6 years working in the central coast wine industry, he dove back into Real Estate as he took over management of his Grandparents properties. In 2016 he began property management in earnest and has been in the industry ever since, having worked at a premier firm in Montecito. There he managed a portfolio of properties valued at over 40 million dollars that dealt with everything from condominiums and apartment complexes to high-end, luxury vacation rentals and mixed-use commercial/residential properties.

At the beginning of 2024, Jason, Meilad and Chris decided to forge a new path together by combining their considerable experience to build upon WeCann’s extensive Real Estate services by creating a full-service, boutique property management division to provide white-glove, 24/7 service to clients for both their residential and commercial Real Estate needs. Having spent 5 years in the highly competitive Santa Barbara RE market, he has made a point to stay educated on current market trends and extensive new laws that are constantly being rolled out, so that he can fully educate his clients on their rights and make sure they’re in compliance with all tenants rights as well.

He enjoys spending as much time as he can with his wife and two sons coaching youth sports, enjoying long days at the beach, hiking, biking, skiing in the winter and generally making the most out of all our beautiful state has to offer. He occasionally even has time to enjoy a nice glass of Central Coast Pinot Noir!
